The Raider Women’s Basketball team will host the 5th Annual Raider Holiday Invitational Tournament, December 7-9, at the Health Education Center, located on the college’s Fort Steilacoom campus.
This year’s field features 8 of the top teams on the NWAACC, in the 3-day double-elimination tournament. The tournament tips off on Friday, at 2 p.m., with the top-ranked Lane Titans taking on first time tournament entry Green River CC. The 4 p.m. game features the Wenatchee Valley Knights, against the Cardinals from Skagit Valley. Last year’s tournament champs, the Clackamas Cougars take on the Peninsula Pirates, in the 6 p.m. contest. And, in the final game of first day action, the Rangers from Olympic College will face the host Pierce Raiders.
Game times for Saturday’s second round action will be at 1 and 3 p.m., for the consolation side of the bracket, and at 5 and 7 p.m., for the winner’s bracket. Sunday’s games will be at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and the championship finale at 3 p.m.
Admission prices are $6.00 per day for adults, $3.00 for seniors, military, and non-Pierce students with school ID. Children under 12 and Pierce College students are FREE. Tournament Passes (for adults) are available for $14.
