Clock Hours for K-12 Teachers and Staff

Pierce College Community & Continuing Education is approved by the Washington State Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction to provide clock hour certification for K-12 public school instructors. This certification is available for all programs offered in this section. A $20 fee is added to the course fee to offset printing, mailing and record keeping costs. Call 253-840-8452 for more information. Participants purchasing Clock Hours and CEUs are encouraged to check with their employing agency if these certifying units will be accepted. Community Education does not maintain a listing for each employing agency. Requests for clock hours must be made at time of registration or within the same quarter year in which the class was completed.

Community & Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

CEUs are available for Community & Continuing Education classes for a processing fee of $20 per class. One CEU is available for every 10 hours of class attended. CEUs provide a permanent record of the educational accomplishments of an individual who has completed one or more significant, non-credit educational experience. To get CEUs, let registration know when you sign up for a class. For more information 253- 840-8452. Requests for CEUs must be made at time of registration or within the same quarter year in which the class was completed.

Card and Certificate Replacement fees

A fee will be charged to research and make replacements for completion certificates, cards, clock hour/CEU forms and other records. Email CE-Questions@pierce.ctc.edu or call 253-840-8452 for more information.
