Renton Veterinary Hospital is accepting applications to fill a vacant full-time LVT position. The LVT will work one day a week at our sister hospital, Sawyer Lake Veterinary Hospital. A minimum of 1 year experience as an LVT and able to work the Saturday shift is required. We need a seasoned, flexible, quick learner who can handle a sometimes hectic schedule and maintain a positive and professional approach to clients and coworkers. In addition to preparing and assisting in surgery, dentistry, exam room support, and treatments, the position is responsible for supervising vet assistants, training externs and administrative duties. Experience handling or the willingness to learn exotics and wildlife is a must. ACCES has an immediate need for Veterinary Technicians in Seattle and Renton!

Summary:
Veterinary technicians assist the veterinarian in providing patient medical care.
Successful LVT and assistant candidates will have had veterinary experience, be a quick learner and exhibit a dedication to patient care and well-being. LVT applicants should be able to properly restrain animals, be proficient with venipuncture, lab work and catheter placement.

Essential Job Functions:
• Perform treatments and administer medication as directed by the veterinarian
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs
• Anesthetize animals and monitor anesthesia under the direction and supervision of the veterinarian
• Triage patients according to the triage protocol
• Do “pre-exams” during triage and gather brief medical histories
• Communicate with clients/owners about status of patients as directed by the veterinarian
• Answer phones and perform other reception duties as needed by the hospital
• Fill prescriptions
• Communicate patient status with oncoming staff and veterinarians, and update records and financial information as needed in the computer
• When designated, supervise, oversee and direct assistant staff on the floor
• Participate in all staff and technician/assistant mandatory staff meetings
• Participate in review process for other technical staff and doctors when requested
• Perform Technician Examinations when appropriate and under the direction of the veterinarian.

Qualifications:
• Licensed as a veterinary technician in Washington state
• At least one year of veterinary experience and preferably at least 6 months in an emergency practice
• Be able to pass the test for Washington pharmacy clerk at time of hire
• In order to move from level one to level two technician, the technician skills must be completed and the manual test must be taken and passed

Working Environment:
• This position is exposed to various cleaning solutions and other chemicals
• Lifting up to 40 lbs.
• May be exposed to aggressive animals (in-house handling\restraint training is required)

Veterinary Medical Receptionists play a critical role on ACCES teams! ACCES is looking for calm, compassionate, and effective communicators to diffuse and handle high stress and daily calls from patient owners. In addition, this role will require the use of Veterinary Managing Software (Cornerstone), organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy animal care office.

Veterinary Assistants help the veterinarians and technicians take care of patients. They help the reception staff with admit, computer entry, and telephone triage. We encourage our staff to learn and advance their skills. However, there are specific procedures that must be performed by licensed personal only.

RVT/LVT position available at Wilderness Animal Hospital, a 4 doctor small animal practice.
Work with our team to provide excellent care for our patients and outstanding service for our clients. Major responsibilities include:
-managing patient care
-dental prophylaxis and minor dental procedures
