Currently licensed or eligible to become licensed as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Oregon.

Has successfully completed and graduated from an accredited veterinary technician program OR has grandfathered in and successfully challenged the VTNE to obtain credentialed status.

Displays competency in the general knowledge and nursing skills required to care for critically ill patients.

Is empathetic and can provide compassionate care to patients and clients.

Enjoys teaching and learning; has a desire to share knowledge with peers and is open to learning from others.

Enjoys a team environment and working collaboratively.

Takes personal responsibility and displays integrity.

Is able to bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods of time; can individually and frequently lift patients up to 40 pounds.

Experience in critical care, emergency, or specialty veterinary medicine is a plus.  However, we are willing to train the right person and will consider a new graduate.

The Claim Specialist position reviews medical records, chart notes, lab results, invoices, estimates, etc. in order to make an accurate assessment on received claims. The outcome of the claim assessment is then communicated to the pet owners via email and phone. In addition to adjudicating claims, Claims Specialists provide service to existing pet owners and veterinary clinics relating to any future, active or past claims.

Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional understanding of veterinary medical terminology and medical conditions is required
  • Candidates should have 3+ years of veterinary assisting or technician experience in a clinic environment
  • Strong preference given to candidates with 5+ years in a clinic environment and/or licensed technician credentials
