Washington Specialty VetMed is hiring full-time, licensed veterinary technicians.  This referral-only practice is located in Poulsbo, Washington.  Other locations are planned as well.  We are building a team which will deliver cutting edge medicine in a progressive work environment.  Candidates are expected to be skilled in phlebotomy, catheter placement, radiography, and anesthesia but your positive attitude, your communication skills, and your ability to be both a leader and a follower are as important to us as your technical skills.  Training to assist in advanced procedures – for example, endoscopy – will be provided on the job.  Technicians will be supported in their efforts to attain board-certification in internal medicine.

Medical records are paperless, the phone system is cloud-based, and radiographs are digital.  Training for using this equipment will be provided on the job but individuals must be comfortable learning new software.

The starting wage will be based on the applicant’s qualifications but will be no less than $18/hour.  Additionally, there will be a monthly stipend for health insurance and an annual stipend for continuing education.  New graduates may apply.
