Wilderness Animal Hospital in Maple Valley is seeking a full-time veterinary technician. We are currently adding additional square feet to our hospital which gives us a need for additional staff.  We are a four doctor / six day a week practice and offer a great learning environment for a individual completing the veterinary technician program.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

*Technical support for our four doctor practice

*Performs treatments and administers medication as directed

*Performs physical assessments and records observations

*Performs laboratory procedures including blood draws, urinalysis, and cultures

*Assists veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures

*Anesthetize animals and monitors anesthesia as directed

*Able to position for and take radiographs

*Prepares estimates and invoices for services completed by doctor and technician

* In emergency situation, able to initiate chest compressions and intubation

*Can perform CPR

*Handle stressful situations professionally and respectfully *Ability to stand for long periods of time, work a shift of 10 hours and lift up to 40#

We are a very busy two doctor practice in Rainier Beach, looking for a technician/assistant full time, this includes Saturday shifts. Experience is required. This position includes performing dental cleanings, assisting doctors in surgery, monitoring anesthetics, blood draws, X-Rays, place IV catheter, check in/discharge clients, answer phones, medication administration, restraining patients, post-op care and client education. Working well on your own, helping out wherever needed and being a team player with a positive attitude is a must. We ask that our team members are strong communicators and compassionate with animals and have the ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment.

Physical requirements include: ability to lift at least 40lbs unassisted, ability to stand for long periods of time, ability to bend and maneuver as needed to clean cages, counter tops etc.

Seattle Veterinary Specialists is seeking a full time, licensed veterinary technician to lead our Oncology department for our Kirkland location.
