You will get extensive experience performing intubation, IV injections, dentals, radiographs, diagnostic procedures, examinations, and hands-on work with over 4,000 animals annually. Qualifications required for credentialed technicians: Must be licensed in the State of Washington  or eligible to obtain your license within 6 months and have a minimum of two years’ experience in a small animal veterinary hospital as a veterinary assistant. Should be self-motivated, a quick thinker, able to multi-task efficiently and problem solve, ability to provide compassion and have excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:

  • Client service
  • Placing intravenous catheters & Venipuncture
  • Perform radiographs & MRI imaging- extensive training provided (Neuro LVT)
  • Patient care including diagnostic procedures and treatments
  • Anesthesia induction and monitoring
  • Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients

As such, this position includes performing dental cleanings, assisting Dr. in surgery, monitoring anesthetics, blood draws, X-Rays, medication administration, restraining patients, post-op care for patients, nursing care, vaccine administration, client education, etc.. We are looking for someone to join our team who can work a flexible schedule to include some weekends (Saturday (8:00-5) and Sunday (10-4) ). Candidates must be hardworking, team player and have an ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment. We ask that our team members are flexible and open to change, strong communicators and compassionate with animals. Physical requirements include: ability to lift at least 40lbs unassisted, ability to stand for long periods of time, ability to bend and maneuver as needed to clean cages, counter tops, etc. Prior experience in a veterinary hospital required!
