Are you an experienced veterinary assistant and/or an LVT? Would you like to live and work in the beautiful Olympic Peninsula? Looking for assistants and/or LVTs with experience in outpatient appointments: animal restraint; vaccination, medication and fluid administration and demonstration; treatment plan creation/presentation; venipuncture and catheter placement; restraint, positioning and capturing for digital radiographs as well as experience in inpatient procedures: dentistry and surgical preparation; anesthetic monitoring and patient recovery; providing support for practice and doctors; including call-backs on lab work, prescription refills, ongoing care requirements. Computer proficiency required, experience with AVImark preferred. Work requires lifting and carrying animals up to 40 lbs alone, for distances up to 40 feet (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs); walking and/or standing for extended periods of time; frequently works in a bent and/or crouched position. SKILLED/EXPERIENCED POSITION (2 years + recent experience or WA Licensure. New grads okay!)

Job Description

The veterinary technician is the primary support to doctors and patients. The technician must be able to communicate well with clients, showing care and concern for their pets. In addition, the technician must able to organize/delegate the activities on the downstairs treatment room and communicate well with other staff members.


You are the proud owner of a Veterinary Technician License and have some clinical experience in the industry. (New graduates are absolutely considered, so show us your stuff!) You are available several days a week including rotations through weekends and holiday coverage. You understand the importance of quality medicine and love to participate in continuing education so you can stay on top of new ideas and care. You are capable of lifting 50# unaided and can be on the go for a good part of the day. You handle the demands of a busy day with tact and feel comfortable with client interaction. You are, above all, kind to those around you, thoughtful in your decisions and enjoy making someone’s day.

Kitsap Veterinary Hospital is a longstanding, AAHA accredited hospital that provides high-quality comprehensive services with excellence, enthusiasm and compassion. We are seeking to fill a full-time position for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician.  This position is responsible for overseeing all patient anesthetic procedures, associated client communication, detailed record keeping, patient treatments and occasionally sharing the duties of the Lab Technician (outpatient care).

The Surgical Technician must be skilled in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry and patient treatments.  These skills need to be supported by the ability to keep accurate and detailed records with strong computer and typing skills (this is a paper-lite practice).  Successful candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication, be organized, proactive in anticipating the needs of the veterinarian and team focused in all aspects of your work.

Maple Leaf Pet Corner is in search of a veterinary technician or skilled assistant! We are looking for someone with some prior experience in the veterinary industry who is skilled and ready to learn new things. This busy practice is located just north of downtown Seattle, WA off of Lake City Way.

The duties of this position would include the following: Assisting veterinarians during exams, obtaining medical history, restraining, administering vaccinations and other medications, assisting with x-rays, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, as well as assisting with answering phone calls and client questions.

It is important that the applicant feels comfortable working in a team environment and willing to help in all areas of our practice. We are searching for someone who is comfortable around animals, professional, friendly personality and committed to the high quality medical care along with exceptional client service. Although experience in the industry is preferred we are willing to train the right person who will be a great fit for our team.
