Our valuable licensed Veterinary Technicians fill a vital role in our hospital. This dynamic position requires you to be our doctor’s right hand person in and out of exam appointments. We are a smaller hospital and work to leverage our technical staff fully. There is ample opportunity for developing skills and taking on new challenges as you learn. We are a well-established, two doctor, AAHA Accredited, neighborhood “family” veterinary hospital. Our clients and patients are our friends and their concerns matter to us. We practice quality, compassionate medicine and we are a highly detailed hospital that provides superior client service.
Veterinary Technicians will be utilized based on their advanced skill level in all facets of client communication, patient care and medical procedures. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Being a leader in the hospital
- Maintaining a high standard of patient care
- Communicating well with clients, showing care and concern for their pets
- Providing physical exams and treatments to dogs and cats
- Assisting/monitoring in surgery
- Providing dental care
- Taking radiographs
- Conducting laboratory testing
- Responding quickly and calmly to crises
- Emergency procedures
- Participating in exam room visits
- Animal restraint
- Educating clients about patient care
- Making detailed notes in patient records
