Hawthorne Hills Veterinary Hospital is seeking a highly competent, energetic professional to join our health care team as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. This full-time position is the face of our practice. You will work independently and directly with the doctors, clients and patients. As a member of our team you will provide exceptional customer service and interact with clients both in person and on the phone.
Applicants for the Veterinary Technician position must have a current license in the State of Washington. New graduates are welcome to apply although at least one year work experience as a licensed technician is preferred. Outgoing individuals who are friendly, enjoy working with the public, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and the desire to work hard are key factors of a successful candidate. Compassionate care and skill working with dogs and cats is essential. We utilize our technical staff in all aspects of day practice: outpatient visits, anesthesia, dental care, radiography, PennHIP screenings, surgery, laboratory testing, and client communications. Technicians are expected to maintain accurate medical records, demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail, and be able to work both independently and as a part of a team.
An outgoing sociable attitude and eagerness to work with clients and their pets are key factors of a successful candidate. We seek an individual with strong verbal and written communication skills. Phone and computer skills are essential along with a motivation to work hard. Employees must be able to multi-task and maintain accuracy with attention to detail. Previous direct customer service experience and a college degree are preferred. Must take pride in delivering a high standard of customer service and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of the clients and pets we see.
