Animal Care Group of Lake Oswego (ACGLO) is a newly built, two-story 9,000 square foot veterinary facility located in Lake Oswego that began operations in September 2014. ACGLO integrates established and successful practices that include general practice, boarding, and grooming and specialized services in cardiology, surgery, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and mobile and hospice care. This state-of-the-art paperless clinic includes digital radiography, two surgical suites, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and a full IDEXX lab station.

We are excited to announce that we will be adding after hours emergency services to ACGLO’s comprehensive offerings and are seeking to staff this team with individuals who share a passion for emergency medicine and who are motivated by the challenges and rewards of being an instrumental part of starting and growing an emergency veterinary practice. ACGLO’s emergency services are provided through a partnership between ACGLO and DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital. This new entity will be called Lake Oswego Veterinary Emergency (LOVE powered by Dove).

We have three full-time openings for certified veterinary technicians with two years of experience (preferably in an emergency or specialty practice). A suitable combination of skills and experience may substitute. Candidates must possess a veterinary technician license in good standing (Oregon CVT expected within six months of employment) as this position will make full use of their technician skills and abilities. This position may sometimes need to transport patients. Valid driver’s license is required.

Primary responsibilities include providing a high standard of emergency nursing care to patients through compliance with the attending DVM’s instructions, maintaining a clean and sterile work environment, inducing and monitoring anesthesia, assisting in surgery, performing all in-house lab work, calculating dosages and administering medications, assisting during euthanasia and providing aftercare for deceased patients, ensuring the hospital is stocked appropriately, and providing excellent customer service to clients and visitors.

In addition to a competitive salary and benefits, we offer relocation assistance to qualified out-of-area candidates and a professional learning allowance to attend veterinary conferences around the country.
