Veterinary Technician Wanted 

Kitsap Veterinary Hospital is a longstanding, AAHA accredited hospital that provides high-quality comprehensive services with excellence, enthusiasm and compassion. We are seeking to fill a full-time position for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician.  This position is responsible for overseeing all outpatient appointments, associated client communication, detailed record keeping, patient treatments and maintaining the flow of the lab and exam rooms.

The Laboratory Technician must be able to multitask, communicate with team members and clients and direct traffic flow.  These skills need to be supported by the ability to keep accurate and detailed records with strong computer and typing skills (this is a paper-lite practice).  Successful candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication, be organized, and be proactive in anticipating the needs of the veterinarian and team members. Although anesthesia is not a routine task performed by this position, the person does need to be comfortable with anesthesia in the event of an emergency.

Requirements: Required Education/Experience: – High School graduate or equivalent. – Graduation from a two year veterinary program. – A current licensure, registration, or certification in Veterinary Technology in at least one state. Required Credentials: – Obtain State of Washington License as Veterinary Technician (LVT) within 1 year of employment.
