Veterinary Technician Position

Commencement Bay Animal Hospital is looking for a licensed veterinary technician or experienced veterinary assistant to join our team.

We are a small clinic with a big mission. Our mission is to provide exemplary care for patients while educating clients about the best health options for their pets at the clinic and at home.
The successful applicant is enthusiastic about their role in providing patient care in the clinic setting as well as communicating with clients regarding their pets’ medical condition and preventative care needs.

Applicants should also have demonstrable technical skills. Licensed technicians should be proficient in skills including (but not limited to) phlebotomy, catheter placement, anesthetic monitoring, radiographic technique, in-house laboratory tests (including CBC and urinalysis), knowledge of preventative care protocols, pharmacology and medication administration.

Applicants who are not licensed must have a minimum of one year full time employment in a veterinary clinic with documented experience with advanced technical skills as allowed by law, including (but not limited to) phlebotomy, catheter placement, radiographic technique, obtaining vital signs and be licensed or eligible for veterinary medical clerk license.

The position will be part-time (20 – 25 hours per week) initially with the potential for additional hours as the clinic continues to grow.

Surgical Veterinary Technician Wanted


Kitsap Veterinary Hospital is a longstanding, AAHA accredited hospital that provides high-quality comprehensive services with excellence, enthusiasm and compassion. We are seeking to fill a full-time position for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician.  This position is responsible for overseeing all patient anesthetic procedures, associated client communication, detailed record keeping, patient treatments and occasionally sharing the duties of the Lab Technician (outpatient care).


The Surgical Technician must be skilled in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry and patient treatments.  These skills need to be supported by the ability to keep accurate and detailed records with strong computer and typing skills (this is a paper-lite practice).  Successful candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication, be organized, proactive in anticipating the needs of the veterinarian and team focused in all aspects of your work.

Our Seattle clinic is a 24 hours pet emergency/ day practice with 6 doctors.

The Edmonds clinic is open Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed (closed on Thur) from 9am-7pm.

This position requires flexibility with evening and weekend shifts. Overnight positions are available. Candidates must be able to work long, irregular hours under pressure conditions and have the ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs.
