Sawyer Lake Veterinary Hospital is looking to add to our team of outstanding Technicians. We are the local Animal Hospital catering to the needs of small animals, avian and exotics, from medical care to grooming. We pride ourselves in the care we deliver to our clients and patients. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician in our hospital you are the integral team member to the quality patient care we deliver. If you are someone who can multi-task, remain calm, take charge in a busy environment and clearly communicate with our staff, clients and Management, and are ready to lead a Team then we want to talk to you. This position offers the opportunity for the right technician to not only work with our patients but also care for injured wildlife that is brought into South Sound Critter Care Wildlife Rescue, whom we provide medical services to for various species of wildlife.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a small animal veterinary practice, preferred

  • Ability to take radiographs, induce anesthesia, and dental prophylaxis
  • Ability to augment client services via discharge appointments or other Tech appointments
  • Assist in maintaining medical inventory and ordering hospital supplies
  • Maintain medical standards by supervising staff assistants for all medically related tasks
  • Able to stand for long periods, lift at least 50 pounds and work 8 hour shifts
  • Able to work most Saturdays
  • Prior experience with exotics and natural wildlife is preferred but will train an interested candidate

This position is Full-Time with scheduling between 36 – 40 hours per week and will be shared with our sister hospital Renton Veterinary Hospital in Renton. Licensed Team Members are eligible for health benefits on 1st of the month following hire date including Medical (Paid by Hospital for Team Member), Dental (paid by Team Member) and PTO after 6 months, matching retirement fund, Holiday pay (even your Birthday off!), license renewals, continuing education allowance and discounted veterinary care for your animal(s).

Summit Veterinary Referral Center is a multi-specialty referral center, located in Tacoma, WA. We provide 24-hour emergency and critical care, internal medicine, oncology, neurology, radiology and surgery services.

We are seeking experienced, licensed Veterinary Technicians, with experience in emergency and critical care, for full-time and part-time positions in our hospital. The right candidate will be self-motivated, a team player and thrive in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for individuals who have excellent patient-care skills and who are detail oriented. . In addition to serving the needs of emergency patients in our community, our ECC department supports Summit surgery, neurology, oncology, internal medicine and radiology patient.

We have both regular and temporary (through October) positions.

Positions we are currently recruiting for are:

Regular: Swing ICU LVT

Temporary: PCU LVT (days and overnights)

Pay is commensurate with skill level and experience. Night and weekend shifts include pay differentials as well. We offer a generous benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, LTD, vacation, 401K, uniform allowance, CE benefits and more.

Qualifications: Washington State License (or eligible) Veterinary Technician and a minimum of one-year experience. Candidates with experience in ER/ICU will be given preference. The person we seek must be skilled in the performance of advanced nursing techniques, possess the ability to think and act quickly, and independently. You must be comfortable multi-tasking and working in a busy, sometimes stressful environment. A pleasant, professional attitude is required.

Responsibilities include:

– Managing, treating and monitoring critically ill and emergent animals

– Performing lab work

– Taking radiographs

– Inducing and monitoring anesthesia

– Placing central IV lines

– Placing urinary catheters

– Monitoring critically ill patients

Tahoma Veterinary Hospital in Spanaway is currently hiring for a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Our LVT’s work 3 weekdays and rotating Saturdays. We are not open Sundays or major holidays. We are an upbeat family type atmosphere that loves caring for our multi-species patients.

We are a busy 5 doctor practice servicing almost all species. Dogs, cats, horses, pigs, goats, reptiles and pocket pets. Our ideal candidate will be someone who is team orientated and enthusiastic about our patients and works well in a busy environment. We welcome new graduates and love to teach new grads the tools of our trade! Experience with large animal a plus, but not necessary. Experience with Impromed/Infinity software and Idexx lab equipment also a plus. We utilize our LVT’s in every aspect and appreciate the skills that you can bring to our hospital.
