Free summer camp focuses on health and fitness
If your tween is in danger of melting into the couch, game controller in-hand, this summer, we can help. Pierce College is once again hosting its Youth Movement Summer Camp, a health and fitness camp for boys and girls now finishing the sixth and seventh grades.
The camp will run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 9-12 at the Health Education Center at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom, 9401 Farwest Drive, Lakewood. The camp is free. Due to space restrictions, early registration is recommended. Register online.
Campers, led by students and instructors from Pierce College’s Diagnostic Health and Fitness Technician program, will be kept moving with sports, games, and fitness challenges, while learning about nutrition, safety, and good health. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt, and a daily lunch and snack provided by St. Leo Food Connection.

I would like to enroll my daughter into the summer camp
That’s fantastic. You can register online here: http://www.pierce.ctc.edu/other/fitnesscamp/
What is the cost for the session ??
The camp is free. Great question.
Is there swimming or basketball for the kids?
There is no pool at the college, but basketball is a certainty!
I was wondering if you have any camps for kids 14 years going into high school like soccer camps.
Soccer camp was held in the spring, but we still have basketball and volleyball camps coming up. Details are here: http://www.pierce.ctc.edu/athletics/camps‘
Thanks for the great question!
Our there any camps for kids leaving fifth grade going into sixth (middle school). Would love for her to go to a camp, while I’m at school
