Multicultural Fair and Fashion Show is Nov. 8 at Pierce Puyallup

1210 Multi Culture Fashion Show

Celebrate the world’s diverse cultures and people from other countries with an evening of music, food, and fashion Thursday, Nov. 8, at Pierce College Puyallup.

The college’s English as a Second Language program has paired with the Office of Student Life to present the Fourth Annual Multicultural Fair and Fashion Show. This year’s theme is “Stories From Around the World” and features traditional storytelling, music, dance, food, and fashion. Activities are scheduled from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in the Arts and Allied Health Theatre, 1601 39th Ave. SE.

All activities are free and family-friendly. The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend. In addition to being entered to win door prizes, guests will have the opportunity to complete a scavenger hunt for a chance to win one of seven gift baskets.

“Between the stories, the fashion, the music, and the food, this event is all about celebration. We’re so fortunate at Pierce College to have such a diverse population of students eager to share and celebrate their cultures with the community,” added Deb Ramirez, one of the instructors in Pierce’s ESL program.
